LETTER: No family values, responsibility in Trump government

So, conservatives, Republicans and Trump supporters, in the name of efficiency you thought that government should be run like a business?

Unfortunately, efficiency only covers the how of getting things done. Much more important is the what, effectiveness.

It is much better to be inefficiently effective than efficiently ineffective.

That is the fatal flaw in privatization: The primary goal becomes profit rather than providing the service.

What Trump has given us is a closely-held family business with a mob-like mentality, where profit and loyalty to the family, at any and all costs, are the only objectives.

Nepotism, lies, bullying, lies, strong-arm tactics, lies, fraud, lies, lawlessness and lies are the order of the day in the U.S. government these days.

You are unreasonably terrified of anything in government that smacks of socialism, while ignoring dictatorship, totalitarianism, autocracy, authoritarianism and interference by a hostile foreign nation.

If you believe in government of the people, by the people and for the people, guess what?

That is basically a socialist concept.

Trump loves the strong-arm dictators of the world, and takes them at their word when thousands of dedicated intelligence professionals are telling him the opposite.

Or maybe Trump cannot afford to anger those who know the truth about him?

Trump is the complete opposite of every talking point I’ve heard from the GOP during my lifetime.

Family values?

Fiscal responsibility?

Moral integrity?

Christianity?

Rule of law?

You will find none of these in Trump’s character, history or family.
