LETTER: Michelle Malkin critics just can’t stand a conservative woman

As a writer and former columnist for the Peninsula Daily News (2000-13), I am impressed each Friday by the depth of research, variety of topics, exceptional vocabulary and articulate use of the English language displayed in Michelle Malkin’s column.

The Malkin column always appears below (never above) a leftist rant by regular Friday columnist Gail Collins.

Nevertheless, it is Mrs. Malkin whom the wannabe censors demand to censor.

They cannot fault the truth and accuracy, so they falsely accuse the writer of being mean and nasty.

Having experienced it myself, I recognize this peculiar strain of sexism exhibited by some liberal-progressives, mostly female, who simply cannot tolerate a conservative who is female.

In the interest of fairness, balance and good writing, I encourage the Peninsula Daily News to keep Michelle Malkin as its Friday columnist.

Martha McKeeth Ireland,
