LETTER: Looking for the meat in the special counsel’s report

The Mueller probe conclusion doesn’t make sense.

What doesn’t make sense about the special counsel’s probe is why Robert Mueller and Attorney General William Barr concluded that there was no conspiracy yet Mueller granted immunity to six suspects and agreed to at least seven plea deals.

Deals like these do not happen unless a suspect possesses and is willing to divulge highly relevant information supporting a prosecutor’s case.

In this instance, it is material and matters related to a conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign.

You don’t forgive crimes just to hear a suspect say, “Nothing happened that everybody doesn’t already know about.”

We should demand to know what these grants of leniency actually yielded.
