I crossed the Tumwater Truck Route bridge on Eighth Street in Port Angeles at 2:15 p.m. June 8 and noticed a man smoking and walking in a circle.
I thought, was he going to jump?
Then I looked at his face as he looked down and thought, no, he didn’t seemed drugged or drunk.
So I continued on home.
Now, having read that he did jump [“Onlookers See Man Jump Off PA Bridge,” PDN, June 11] — what could have I done?
Now, knowing he put his dog down and felt alone, I know how he felt.
I loved my mother more than life.
However, when our dog died, I grieved more for him than my mom.
Can we have a group of volunteers ready to help once their best pal goes to the life ever after — someone to cry with, talk with or just be with?
