Conservative Peninsula Daily News columnist Michelle Malkin, whose column is featured every Friday in the Peninsula Daily News, is making a good living by fanning flames of fear and disinformation in our country’s increasingly divided and troubled political scene.
She is so over-the-top, I’ve long thought that she can’t possibly believe her own dangerous hyperbole and hate speech; she must be using a carefully crafted persona for personal gain.
That may perhaps be too generous a presumption.
I’m writing in strong support of the letters published in the PDN on Feb. 19 [“Malkin critic”] and March 3 [“Malkin negative”] that advocated removal of Malkin’s column from the PDN.
It’s disturbing that our local newspaper, which provides otherwise-excellent service to our North Olympic Peninsula communities, has implicitly accepted her tone and name-calling style.
I understand that the PDN has an obligation to present more than one political opinion.
Please cancel Malkin’s column and replace it with a column with a creditable and less inflammatory conservative point of view.
