Letter: Great care experience at OMC

Over the holidays I found myself as a guest for about 11 days in the hospital at Olympic Medical Center.

I arrived in the emergency room around 9 p.m. and was immediately taken to my own room and after about 45 minutes received some much-needed pain relief, a CAT scan and a tube up my nose.

At that point I was admitted to the hospital and assigned Room 256, which I would call home for the next days.

As the days went slowly by I was struck by the quality of the staff on the second-story main floor.

These people — from doctors to nurses, x-ray techs and wheelchair pushers, lab techs to cleaning crew — were, simply put, amazing.

Not once did I ever hear one of them complain, even on Christmas Day.

Their entire objective was to make me feel that they cared only about getting me well and out of that hospital.

We on the North Olympic Peninsula are blessed to have a truly outstanding hospital, staffed with the finest group of professionals to be found anywhere and I just want to thank them for everything they do to keep us all well.
