I hope the events scheduled include attention to what Esther and her family have done for journalism education at Peninsula College.
Their generosity established scholarships that have supported many students as they have learned about this essential element of our democracy and prepared for a great variety of professional opportunities through the extraordinary experience of the award-winning The Buccaneer student newspaper.
