LETTER: Daylight savings exercise a waste of time

Once again, I wasted over an hour resetting about a dozen clocks, an operation which invariably requires consulting the manual.

Why do we persist in repeating this insane ritual every six months?

Is it just so we can laugh at those who walk into church one hour late?

For some, this is perhaps their only opportunity to synchronize all their timepieces.

It might have been a Native American who, when hearing about daylight savings time, replied, “Only a government bureaucrat could cut 12 inches off of a blanket, sew it on the other end, and think he now had a longer blanket!”
