LETTER: Dave Neupert integrity, court decisions above reproach

His just rulings make him supremely well-qualified to join Clallam Superior Court.

I enthusiastically support the election of Dave Neupert as our next Clallam County Superior Court judge (Position 2) and hope that other voters will, too.

I have considerable experience in judicial matters during a long career and post-retirement.

Rarely have I met anyone as well-qualified for this position.

This conclusion is arrived at after observing Mr. Neupert in many capacities, including public defender, attorney in private practice and judge pro tem in Clallam County District Court.

He is a very intelligent, clear-thinking individual, and I admire the way he is able to consider all aspects of a case and come to a logical, educated and just conclusion that respects the law and ably concludes the matter.

He is compassionate but firm.

His ethics and moral code are above reproach.

His judicial presence is impressive.

As a retired senior military officer, I am particularly impressed with his plan to institute a Veterans Court here in Clallam County.

The concept is a wonderful way for our society to recognize the stresses placed upon the defenders of our nation and provide a logical and effective alternative to inserting these men and women into our corrections system unnecessarily.

Please join me in voting for Dave Neupert.

He will do a marvelous job as a Superior Court judge.
