LETTER: Crescent levy

I would encourage all voters in the Crescent School District to vote yes on both levies coming up in the Feb. 11 election.

As a member of the Crescent School board, I am proud to stand by our mission, as well as the strategic plan that we worked so hard on last year.

Our focus on wellness for both students and staff is a worthy goal made in collaboration with students, staff, families and the community.

The district has fulfilled all the promises made for the funds received for our current levies.

The capital levy renewal will allow us to continue the progress we have made in improving safety and security, as well as the maintenance and repair of our buildings and grounds.

Our students have been thrilled with the work done so far, and we hope to continue to provide facilities they are proud of.

The renewal of the education program and operations levy will facilitate progress with our extended day and tutoring/homework program, counseling services, expanding music program, and ever-improving food service program.

It has been very exciting for me to see the progress we have made with the support from the community.

I’m looking forward to seeing continued progress when we vote yes Feb. 11.
