The board of directors and staff of the Field Arts & Events Hall congratulates Paul Gottlieb on his retirement as a senior staff writer for the Peninsula Daily News, after a stellar award-winning career in newspaper journalism.
Mr. Gottlieb has covered the Field Hall story since our first press release in 2016, carefully chronicling the project’s evolution from a big dream supported by a big gift from Donna M. Morris, to a building we expect to complete in 2023, and all that it means for our community.
Paul always asked the tough questions, but his reporting was thorough, accurate and fair.
In an era where there is so much misinformation available from so many sources, Paul always focused his reporting on verifiable facts, and as a result, his readers have known the truth from start to finish.
We wish Mr. Gottlieb a successful retirement that finds him a rewarding outlet for his writing skills, and allows him to continue to contribute to his adopted hometown.
