LETTER: Can the county or businesses help with traffic flow issues during bridge closure?

After reading about the upcoming McDonald bridge closure it looks like it could affect Agnew businesses including a local veterinarian, bed and breakfasts, and our beloved Agnew Country Store among others — as well as attendance to one of the biggest draws to Sequim, the Lavender Festival.

Why can’t these businesses get together and hire an off-duty policeman or other qualified individual to direct traffic to facilitate that awkward left-hand turn at peak hours?

Possibly our county commissioners could work with these businesses to help make that happen?
