LETTER: Black bear shooting a senseless killing

Unfortunately, we witnessed the darker side of human behavior off Lost Mountain Road recently when a hunter(s) shot a young black bear.

The young bear, shot on his side and severely wounded, whimpered in intense pain and was left to die.

The senseless killing should be pursued by the state Department of Fish & Wildlife for one reason only: The death occurred on posted private property.

Aren’t we a wonderful species?

We kill for sport which shows a flagrant disregard for the lives of innocent creatures who share the Earth with us.
