Dismayed by the violent protests in Seattle

Recently, in west Seattle, I witnessed the somber tone of the city which is much more prevalent than here in Port Angeles.

Masks were prominent, the mood serious and Black Lives Matter signs everywhere.

In the pouring cold rain, there was a crowd on Fauntleroy Avenue waving their message.

Meanwhile the city of CHAZ, now CHOP, was born.

People defile the city they live in.

Passion rules with them as it has so many times before in our history.

In the 1700s in France people once scoffed at the unruly mobs which eventually cost Marie Antoinette her head.

Later Hitler emerged in Germany due to economic woes and almost conquered the civilized world.

These thoughts are only to alert you to the passion now being displayed in Seattle.

Those with prestige and power may still believe they are in charge as always but the thin blue line (police) is broken and we are all at risk.
