Valentine’s Day celebrated on Peninsula

Valentine’s Day activities are planned in Clallam County today and Saturday.

Dance parties

Toddler and Baby Prom & Dance Party is planned at the Port Angeles and Forks public libraries at 10:30 a.m. today.

Toddlers and babies up to 5 years old are invited to wear their favorite dance party finery, costumes or whatever makes them happy to celebrate Valentine’s Day with bubbles, disco ball, dancing and parachute fun.

The Port Angeles Library is at 2210 S. Peabody St.

The Forks Library is at 171 S. Forks Ave.

Valentine dinner

FORKS — Forks Elks Lodge 2524 will host a Valentine dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The dinner will be at the Elks Lodge, 941 Merchants Road.

The menu includes prime rib or Cornish hens, twice-baked potato, confetti corn, salad, homemade dinner rolls and a heart-shaped mini-cake.

Music will be provided by DJ Matt King starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased by calling the lodge at 360-374-2524 or Marlin C. Young at 360-640-2925.

CLALLAM BAY

Create valentines

CLALLAM BAY — Today is the final day to create your own Valentine’s Day card at the Clallam Bay Library.

The Annual Valentine Card-Making Extravaganza began at the library at 16990 state Highway 112 on Monday and ends today.

The library will supply the cards, envelopes, glitter glue, stickers, feathers and glue between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
