Sequim poets to read work at Fourth Friday Readings

SEQUIM — Nine Sequim poets will read from their newly published “Last Wednesday Poetry Anthology 2019” at the next Fourth Friday Readings, set for 6:15 tonight.

The free readings will be in the media room at The Lodge, 600 Evergreen Farm Way.

The writing group, Last Wednesday Poets, began in 2012. The current group includes Gary Bullock, Howard Chadwick, Judith Collins, Judith Duncan, Gina Hietpas, Ruth Marcus, Mike Medler, Terry Moore and Stephanie Nead.

They have migrated to Sequim from a variety of geographic locations and professional careers, and share a common bond in writing.

Books by the individual poets will be for sale, as will the anthology. Proceeds from the “Last Wednesday Poetry Anthology 2019” go to the Sequim Library Building Fund.

Following the featured speakers, there will be an hour of 5-minute open mic readings. Interested writers may submit their names before the event begins. Rehearse in advance, as readings will be timed. For open mic guidelines, email to lindabmyers@yahoo.com.
