Sequim City Band brings ‘Haunted Harmonies’ to Port Angeles

SEQUIM — Sequim City Band moves its concerts indoors for its 2023-24 season on Saturday with “Haunted Harmonies” at 6 p.m. in the Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center, 304 E. Park Ave.

The autumn concert is meant for all ages with tunes from John Williams’ score for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” Jacques Offenbach’s “Orpheus in the Underworld,” Paul Dukas’ “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” made famous in Disney’s “Fantasia,” Frank Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” and more.

Organizers moved the autumn show to Port Angeles, they said, due to the need for a larger stage to accommodate the number of musicians.

The City Band’s Indoor Season continues with two more concerts at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, and Sunday, March 17. Both of these concerts are free to the public and will be performed at the Donna M. Moore Theater, Field Arts & Events Hall, 201 Front St., Port Angeles.

More information about the Sequim City Band, and how to support the free family concerts, can be found on Facebook or at www.sequimcityband.org.
