SEQUIM — Accordion players, enthusiasts and dancers are invited to join in an afternoon of music at the Sequim Accordion Social, set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The social will be at Shipley Center, 921 E. Hammond St.

All players are encouraged to bring their instrument and play a few selections.

Admission is a suggested $2 to $3 donation at the door to cover the hall rental and to thank featured player Doris Osgood of Forest Grove, Ore.

Osgood joined Eileen Hagen’s ensemble when she moved to Forest Grove and played concerts and competitions with the group for several years. She leads the Tualatin Valley Accordionists ensemble and produces a large regional accordion celebration twice each year, which she’s done for the past 27 years.

Osgood also edits the NWAS News, contributes to the Leavenworth International Accordion Celebration, teaches and organizes scholarships for young accordion players.

For more information, call Caryl Dowell 520-369-3550 or Lynne Clark at 360-451-0191.
