PT Brewfest benefits cancer foundation

PORT TOWNSEND — The Edensaw Community Cancer Foundation will host its 10th annual Brewfest Charity Benefit from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.

This year’s event will be at Port Townsend Brewery, 330 10th St.

A live and silent auction are planned. Live music by the Delta Rays and dancing will be offered.

The organization also will have Barbarian Fine Cuisine selling food and micro-brews from Port Townsend Brewing Co.

The foundation’s overall mission is to raise funds through donations which will provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families in East Jefferson County.

All of the funds raised through this event stay local and are not used for for the foundation’s overhead, according to a news release.

In 2007, the foundation was founded by the employees and owners of Edensaw Woods, a Port Townsend building supplies and flooring company.

Edensaw Woods Ltd. picks up all overhead costs, which allows 100 percent of fundraising to go toward the cause.
