PORT LUDLOW — The Port Ludlow Art League will host a reception for Lizette Silsbee and Pamela Raine from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The reception will begin at 4 p.m. in the lobby at Sound Community Bank, 9500 Oak Bay Road, then move to the league’s adjacent gallery at 5 p.m.
Silsbee creates landscapes using acrylic paints, drawing inspiration from Port Ludlow’s stunning scenery as well as her worldwide travels.
“While my style leans toward realism, I’m exploring new mediums, such as pastels. I’m excited about the endless possibilities art presents,” Silsbee said.
Pamela Raine, a mixed media artist who usually favors big, bold designs, will be exhibiting a collection of necklaces created from tiny, sparkling beads.
These necklaces, much smaller than her norm, are designed to rest around the base of the neck.
“The delicate jewelry was inspired by my recent trip to Prague, known for their elegant Czech Republic crystals,” Raine says.
The exhibit will be on display in the gallery from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays throughout July.
