Port Angeles High School thespian society to stage ‘Mean Girls’

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles High School Thespian Society will present “Mean Girls the Musical!” with shows at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The play, directed by Sage Bateman and choreographed by Isabella Temres, will be performed in the auditorium at Port Angeles High School, 304 E. Park Ave., Port Angeles.

Tickets are $15 per person or $10 for students and seniors. They are available at the door.

The musical, which features music By Jeff Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin, was adapted from the 2004 film written by Tina Fey and starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Cady Heron, after moving from Africa to suburban Chicago, is surprised to learn that high schoolers are a lot more frightening than the wildlife she was used to studying.

Queen Bee Regina George singles her out to become one of the Plastics, the top clique in the school, but will she fall in line or will she turn out to be even more tyrannical than Regina?

Parental guidance is recommended for some mature themes and language.
