Photographer showcases finding the light in Port Angeles display

PORT ANGELES — Imagine It Framed is showcasing the photography of Tim Roos through May 9.

Roos’ work can be seen at the shop at 625 E. Front St. from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

Roos is a special education teacher, photographer and wildlife enthusiast living in Port Angeles.

“I’ve enjoyed hiking, mountaineering and boating in the Pacific Northwest since my youth and on the Olympic Peninsula since 1995, when my wife and I moved to Port Angeles with our two children to pursue our teaching careers,” Roos said.

“Through much of my adventuring, I’ve brought or returned with a camera. Impressive as the forms of seascapes, landscapes and wildlife have been, I’ve come to see my subject more as light than object. There may be in us an emotive connection to light, the surprise of dark or blind emotion finding light, and I hope that comes across in my photographs.”

Tim Roos’ photography is on view at Imagine It Framed in Port Angeles through May 9.
