Peninsula Daily News columnist Pat Neal to speak in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — Pat Neal will present “The History of Fishing on the Olympic Peninsula” at 7 p.m. Wednesday during a meeting of the Puget Sound Anglers at the American Legion hall, 209 Monroe St.

Neal will give his personal take on how fishery management has endangered the very fish it is supposed to protect.

Neal is a Hoh River fishing guide and a wilderness gossip columnist for the Peninsula Daily News. He has published more than a thousand newspaper columns and four collections of stories.

Copies of his books will be available for purchase after his presentation.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.; county COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
