SEQUIM — “Out of the Forest” — an exhibit of photographs, glass and woodwork by members of the Olympic Peaks Camera Club — will open Tuesday at the Sequim Museum and Art Center.
The show will be on display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays to Sept. 28 at the museum and art center at 544 N. Sequim Ave.
A reception is set for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, as part of Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk.
“This show shows the beauty and diversity of artwork related to the amazing forests of the Olympic Peninsula,” organizers said.
”This exhibition highlights club members’ personal visions and experiences, based on photos made in the remarkable place where we live and play.”
The Olympic Peaks Camera Club has operated for more than 25 years. Members share their photos, learn new techniques and become better photographers by participating in friendly competitions critiqued by experienced photographers. They hear guest speakers, attend workshops and participate in photo field trips.
The club also hosts the Photography Barn at the Clallam County Fair.
