Master gardeners series digging deeper

PORT ANGELES — Jeanette Stehr-Green will present “Growing Strawberries on the North Olympic Peninsula” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Stehr-Green’s lecture is part of the Clallam County master gardeners Digging Deeper webinar series on Zoom.

Stehr-Green will discuss selecting, planting and caring for strawberries with a focus on minimizing disease, maximizing productivity and extending the life of the patch.

She will also cover site selection, post-harvest renovation, protecting strawberry plants over the winter and how to recognize when a patch is no longer productive.
