Latinx immigrant experience focus of film screening in Forks

FORKS — A screening of “The Latinx Photography Project” and a panel discussion about the Latinx immigrant experience in Forks and the surrounding areas will be hosted by Peninsula College Forks on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The free PC Studium Generale program is collaborating with PC Forks and Magic of Cinema to host a screening of the documentary at the Forks campus, 481 S. Forks Ave. The panelists will include people of various ages, cultures and time spent in the USA.

“The Latinx Photography Project,” directed and produced by Alejandro Palacios, is a bilingual documentary film that explores how photography can succeed at creating leaders who are grounded in community. With photography as their art, the participants in this project thrive in a community that years ago was foreign to most immigrant farm workers.
