Geology lecture slated Saturday

PORT TOWNSEND — Marcia Bjornerud will discuss her book, “Timefulness: How thinking like a geologist can help save the world,” at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The free online lecture is sponsored by the Quimper Geologic Society.

Bjornerud is also the author of “Reading the Rocks: The Autobiography of the Earth” and “Geopedia: A Brief Compendium of Geologic Curiosities.”

Bjornerud is a professor of geosciences at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
