Future of oceans topic of lecture

PORT TOWNSEND — Ronald Thom will present “What Eelgrass and Other Marine Vegetation Can Tell Us About the Future of the Ocean” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10.

The free lecture, part of the Port Townsend Marine Science Center’s Future of Oceans series, will stream on the Zoom internet meeting platform.

Thom is a staff scientist emeritus at the Marine and Coastal Research Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Lab in Sequim.

Thom will also join a Deep Dive Conversation at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11.

The moderated, online conversation costs $5 per person.
