COYLE — The Concerts in the Woods series will present Fellow Pynins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The two, once part of a six-piece folk orchestra called Patchy Sanders, will perform at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center at 923 Hazel Point Road.
Admission will be by donation. Complimentary cookies and coffee will be served at intermission. The center has seating for about 65 people.
“These two experienced songwriters/musicians share their talents on a variety of folk instruments plus some stunning vocal harmonies,” said series organizer Norman Johnson. “Their love of music comes through as an energy that you can feel in their skillful playing and the delivery of their lyrics.
“We will need to ask them at the concert what a ‘pynin’ is, because I don’t know,” Johnson said.
Ian Van Ornum plays the guitar, mandolin, vocals and hurdy-gurdy, while Dani Aubert sings and performs on banjo and bouzouki.
