Fat Chance to perform at benefit concert series

PORT ANGELES — Fat Chance will perform to support the Sequim High School Band Boosters this Saturday as part of Olympic Cellars Winery’s 2017 summer concert series.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the winery at 255410 U.S. Highway 101.

Concert tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the winery or online at Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com). Season passes are available for $75.

Each concert is a benefit for a local nonprofit organization. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Looking ahead, the series includes:

• Aug. 11-12 — Creme Tangerine (Beatles tribute band), supporting Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles and Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

• Thursday, Aug. 17 — Greta Matassa (jazz) and Peninsula College Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

• Saturday, Aug. 19 — The Sam Chase Band (folk, rock), supporting the Juan de Fuca Foundation of the Arts.

• Saturday, Aug. 26 — Longstride (reggae, rock, groove), supporting the Feiro Marine Life Center.

Sequim restaurant Nourish will be on-site for each concert with food available for purchase.

A family-friendly venue, Olympic Cellars encourages attendees to arrive early for best seating and bring a lawn chair. The winery has tables and chairs but does not allow reservations.

Patio space is open for dancing during the concerts.

Carpooling is appreciated, as on-site parking is limited.

Concerts are held outdoors, rain or shine.

Attendees can bring in food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Events are staffed by volunteers from the nonprofit of the week.
