Cook to talk mushrooms

PORT HADLOCK — Langdon Cook will present “Spring Fungi: From Patch to Plate” from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Cook will speak in the Humphrey Room at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave., and at the Brinnon Community Center, 306144 U.S. Highway 101, Brinnon, on Saturday.

Cook will share tales and tips about finding and cooking with mushrooms; his presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing.

Cook is the author of “Upstream: Searching for Wild Salmon, from River to Table”, “The Mushroom Hunters: On the Trail of an Underground America” and “Fat of the Land: Adventures of a 21st Century Forager.”
