Clallam County Master Gardeners have opened a third self-guided tour at Fifth Street Community Garden

PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Master Gardeners have opened a third self-guided tour at the Fifth Street Community Garden.

The tour, which will be available from Saturday, June 12, through Friday, June 25, features new focus sites that highlight what is happening, or should be happening, in area vegetable gardens.

Attendees will learn ways to protect blueberries and tomatoes.

All of the tour’s focus sites highlight which vegetables grow well in this climate; what needs to be done in vegetable gardens and what control measures exist for pests; and diseases common to this area.

For more information, call the county extension at 360-565-2679.
