PORT TOWNSEND — Rosalee Walz will present “Chemakum: Then and Now” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Walz, the Chemakum tribal chair, will discuss the history of the Chemakum and some of the tribe’s new initiatives in the Commons at Fort Worden, 210 Battery Way.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. to allow time for attendees to view Brian Goodman’s exhibit “Still Here: Portraits of the Chemakum.”

The exhibit, which features photos of the Chemakum people, is on display in the commons through Sept. 28.

Walz will share the history of the Chemakum from their perspective to help the community understand the paths the Chemakum have walked.
