Bask in the outdoors with free summer concerts

Sequim and Port Townsend will offer the last of their outdoor summer concerts this week, while Port Angeles will feature violin virtuoso Geoffrey Castle as its Concerts on the Pier continue.

The Stardust Big Band will perform big-band-era music from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the James Center for Performing Arts, 563 N. Rhodefer Road in Sequim, as the final installment of the Music in the Park series.

Kevin Mason and the PT All Stars will play at the last of Port Townsend’s Concerts on the Dock on Thursday. Main Street’s Concerts on the Dock begin at 4:30 p.m. at Pope Marine Plaza, 621 Water St.

Castle will play the electric violin during Port Angeles’ Concerts on the Pier from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at City Pier, 315 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

All three outdoor concerts on the North Olympic Peninsula are free. Attendees are encouraged to cozy up with chairs, blankets and picnic dinners.
