PORT ANGELES — James Vukelich Kaagegaabaw will present an author talk at 12:35 p.m. Thursday.
Kaagegaabaw’s presentation will be part of the Studium Generale spring lecture series in the Little Theater at Peninsula College’s Port Angeles campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Kaagegaabaw, a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, is the author of “The Seven Generations and the Seven Grandfather Teachings.” His work has helped preserve and revitalize Anishinaabemowin, the language of the Ojibwe and Chippewa People.
Other presentations in the weekly lecture series include “High Mountain Lakes Response to Shifting Climate” by Bill Baccus and Steve Fradkin on May 8, Writer-in-Residence Caroline Fraser on May 15, “Olympic Connect” by Erin Hawkins and Miranda Burger on May 22, “Weaving Together Seven Generations” by Corey Larson and Willie Frank III on May 29, 12th annual Moving Pictures Film Festival on June 5 and an all-day event “Lifting the Old Ways: Memories of the 1989 Paddle to Seattle and its Legacy” on June 12.
