PORT ANGELES — Auditions for the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center’s Shakespeare in the Woods production of “Much Ado About Nothing” will be Wednesday and Saturday, Feb. 25.
The auditions will be in the form of free workshops. Those who want to learn skills but not audition also are welcome. Wednesday’s audition will be at 6:30 p.m. at the fine arts center at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
The Feb. 25 audition will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Camp Fire Club clubhouse, 619 E. Fourth St.
The workshops will focus on skills used to perform Shakespeare outdoors: body alignment, vocal work, coordinated group movement, interpretation of text and character development.
Monologues are welcome but not required. Participants are urged to wear comfortable clothes and bring drinking water.
Performances are set for 6:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting July 21 and ending Aug. 6 in Webster’s Woods Art Park.
