4-H Club to kickoff fundraiser raffle

PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County’s Paws-N-Claws 4-H Club will kick off its annual fundraiser raffle Saturday at the 18th annual 4×4 Expo.

Tickets will be available this Saturday at the Paws-N-Claws booth at the expo at Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4907 Landes St., from any Paws-N-Claws 4-Her now until Aug. 12, and in the 4-H Cat Building during the Jefferson County Fair, Aug. 10-12.

Tickets are $1 each. First prize for this year’s raffle is a 58-inch-by-64-inch Tulip Time quilt, created and donated by Port Townsend quilter Irene Denton.

Winning tickets for this first-prize quilt along with more than 30 other prizes will be drawn at 5 p.m. in the 4-H Cat Building on Aug. 12 at the Jefferson County Fair. It is not necessary to be present to win.

Prizes include items for those who love cats, dogs, horses, cooking and gardening.

Funds raised will help Paws-N-Claws to purchase new front doors for the 4-H Cat Building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
