Port Angeles man exonerated of rape accusation

PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles man has been exonerated from a rape allegation and a $20,000 bail.

Corban D. Reneman, 25, was arrested last Friday for investigation of second-degree rape after a woman told the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office she had been raped by Reneman in a travel trailer.

Clallam County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney James Kennedy presented Tuesday an order exonerating Reneman of his conditions of release, which included a $20,000 bail.

The order was signed by Superior Court Judge Erik Rohrer.

Reneman told investigators that he had consensual sex with the alleged victim, court papers said. He was not charged with a crime.

Kennedy was not immediately available for comment Tuesday.
