PORT ANGELES — A Clallam Bay man accused of pointing a gun at someone during an argument last week is expected to appear in Clallam County Superior Court today.
Clallam County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested John Herman Bichler, 40, over the weekend for investigation of second-degree assault, possession of weapons apparently capable of causing bodily harm, disorderly conduct and making false statements to a public servant.
Bichler, arrested Friday, is accused of pointing a gun at another man during an argument that took place along Weel Road in Clallam Bay last Tuesday, according to a news release.
Deputies were dispatched at about 8:17 p.m. Tuesday and when they arrived they spoke to a man who said Bichler had pointed a gun at him during an argument.
Bichler told deputies five to six men had confronted him along Weel Road. He admitted to possessing a handgun during the argument but denied pointing the gun at anyone.
Deputies conducted interviews with the alleged victims and reviewed surveillance video before arresting Bichler on Friday.
