PORT ANGELES — Koenig Subaru has selected the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society as its local charity of choice during the annual Subaru Share the Love event that runs through Jan. 2.
During the sales event Subaru will donate $250 to a local or national nonprofit based on the customer’s choice for every car sold or leased.
Koenig Subaru will announce the amount of the donation at the society’s annual fundraiser, Meowgaritas and Mutts, set for April 25, 2020, at the Vern Burton Center.
According to a press release, Subaru of America and its local dealers have donated more than $145 million to national charities and 695 hometown charities throughout the past 12 years.
Koenig will also host a pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
The event at the dealership’s showroom, 3501 E. U.S. Highway 101, will feature puppies and kittens that are available for adoption.
Attendees also are encouraged to bring a camera to capture pet pictures with Santa. A group picture of Subaru family pet owners will be taken at noon.
