Edg3 fund competition back with bigger prize, workshop

PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap Bank has announced its sixth Edg3 fund small business competition.

The annual competition recognizes entrepreneurs who help to grow the community economically, socially and environmentally.

According to a press release, the prize for the competition will increase to $25,000 this year.

There will be an informational workshop for applicants at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Olympic College, 1000 NW Olympic College Way, Poulsbo.

The workshop is free but attendees are asked to register at www.brownpaper tickets.com/event/4254496.

Applications include an online application and a two-minute video in which contestants describe their business and make a case for how the prize money can be used to improve it.

The application period opens July 1 and closes at 5 p.m. July 31.
