Cook, Cooper promoted at Bonneville Power Administration

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Bonneville Power Administration announced that Joel Cook is its new chief operating officer as of Sunday.

Cook served as the administration’s senior vice president for power services since June 2017.

As COO, Cook will be responsible for the power and transmission service; environment, fish and wildlife service; customer support service and the Business Transformation Office.

Suzanne Cooper will replace Cook as senior vice president for power services.

Cooper has been part of BPA’s power management team for 17 years and vice president for bulk marketing since 2011.

Cooper will be responsible for the agency’s power scheduling functions, energy efficiency, generation asset management, power contracts and rates, power purchases and acquisitions, as well as relations with its 142 retail utility customers.
