SEQUIM — Sequim Family Chiropractic — formerly Van Romer Chiropractic — is currently being remodeled for its two new owners, Rob Thomas and Erin Urquia.
The office, located at 415 N. Sequim Ave., is the former chiropractic office for Leslie Van Romer, Urquia’s mother.
Remodeling is scheduled for completion by Monday, according to a news release.
The husband-and-wife team practice “full body chiropractic” techniques, including Activator, SacroOccipital, Diversifed, Zindler, Neuroimpulse Adjusting Instrument, Webster, Cox Flexion and Rock Tape, as well as rehabilitation and nutritional services.
Urquia was born and raised in the Sequim area, while Thomas was reared in King Salmon, Alaska.

First Federal expansion office opens
PORT ANGELES — First Federal recently opened a new Seattle Home Loan Center.
The center is located at the Russell Building, 1301 Second Ave., Suite 2601.
“We have hired a team of experienced lenders to help promote our programs in this market,” said Kelly Liske, executive vice president and chief banking officer.
“Although First Federal has been lending in the greater Seattle market for several years, having a physical presence and ability to integrate ourselves into the communities is what we are most excited about.”
The Seattle team is composed of Mark Crawford, Lorraine De Vries, Emily Guadamuz and Anthony Pelayo.
Ross Thomas, director of mortgage lending, leads the team as well as the First Federal Mortgage Division.

PORT ANGELES — Local business owners Gene and Muriel Fulmer of A Dependable Contractor were recently featured in a Canadian magazine for one of their kitchen remodels.
The magazine “Coverings” placed two photos from the business as supporting art for an article titled “Leverage LFT: Large Format Tile Provides an Opening … Countertops Come Calling,” according to a news release.
