BUSINESS BRIEFS: PA restaurant donatesmore than $2K to VIMO; PT winery wins awards

PORT ANGELES — Jig & Lure Fish Co. employees recently presented a $2,888.50 check to Volunteers in Medicine in the Olympics (VIMO), which runs a free primary health and dental care clinic in Port Angeles.

The check, representing donations made at the restaurant throughout the month of October, was presented at a Soroptimist club meeting.

Jig & Lure employees do not accept tips, but customers are invited to leave a donation for a local charity.

The program has raised over $25,000 for local community groups since its launch in April and has partnered with United Way since September.
