BUSINESS BRIEFS: Olympic Newcomers’ Club to host holiday party Dec. 14 … and other items

PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Newcomers’ Club will host its annual holiday party from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14.

There will be dinner and dancing to the Vibratones at the event at C’est Si Bon, 23 Cedar Park Drive.

The cost, payable at the door, is $22 for members and $32 for non-members, including a six-month complimentary membership.

Participants also can donate to the Giving Tree with a $10 to $20 gift card.

Slideshow set

SEQUIM — Pondicherri at 119 E. Washington St. will host a slideshow presentation of its family-owned fair trade textile factory in India during business hours Friday, Dec. 16.

Chelsea Winfield Dutta will share highlights of her recent trip and the start-to-finish process of the business’ textile factory, which dyes natural cotton fabrics and handblock prints in a traditional process, according to a news release.

Pondicherri is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
