Rain fails to dampen the fun at Clallam County Fair, which ends today

A little rain?

It doesn’t dampen the spirits or the fun of the 2004 Clallam County Fair, which ends its four-day run today.

The theme is “Veggies and Tails,” and there’s plenty of action at the fairgrounds, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles, until it ends at 7 tonight.

Here’s today’s schedule of events:

Throughout the fair

Walk around entertainment Won Israel, Ventriloquist Wes and Chips, Dixieland Strolling Band, Uptown Swing and Jazz

Grandstand events

1 p.m.: NPRA Rodeo

7 p.m.: Demolition Derby (tickets on sale 11 a.m. in the fair office)

Center Stage

11 a.m.: Kiss the Pig Contest

Noon: Diaper Derby Grand Finale

1 p.m.: Tiller’s Folly

2:30 p.m.: Hypnotist Mike Mezmer

4 p.m.: Tiller’s Folly

5:30 p.m.: Hypnotist Mike Mezmer

West Stage

Noon to 6 p.m.: Old Time Fiddlers Jam Session

Animal shows

9 a.m.: 4-H Miniature Horse Classes

4-H Cat Cage Judging (all day)

10 a.m.: 4-H Dog Agility
