PORT ANGELES — On the first day of the three-day Clallam County Amateur tournament Alex Atwell and Jack Shea were tied for the lowest gross rounds, each with 70, shot at the Peninsula Golf Club.

The three-day tournament moved to Cedars at Dungeness on Saturday and will finish today at Sunland Golf and Country Club.

Jade Tisdale and Paul Jacobsen were right behind the leaders with gross scores of 72. Rick Hoover and Tim Lusk were three strokes back at 75 each.

These golfers all played in Flight One. In Flight Two, Gretchen Klein had the lowest gross score, followed by Jared Pomeroy with a 76.

In Flight Three, Gary Valencia had the lowest gross at 85, followed by Tim Kelly at 86. For full results, go to page B2.
