Port Angeles basketball player Nizhoni Wheeler was selected this week by the Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association to play in the senior 2A All-State game.
Wheeler was just one of 10 2A girls selected to play in the game, which will be held Saturday at King’s High School in Shoreline. Wheeler, who also plays volleyball and softball for Port Angeles High School, was also named a first-team All-Olympic League 2A player recently.
Wheeler, a strong passer, defender and inside scorer, helped lead her team to an 8-4 record in the Olympic 2A League, good for third place, and two playoff wins at District.
