AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Volleyball camp set for June 25-28

PORT ANGELES — There will be a volleyball camp held at Port Angeles High School for girls from June 25-28.

The camp is for girls entering kindergarten through ninth grade. Camp for sixth- through ninth-graders will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day, while kindergartners through fifth-graders will go from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Boys are welcome in the younger afternoon session.

The camp is for all skill levels. The camp will focus on fundamentals and different levels of competition will be introduced as the camp continues through the week based on levels of experience and growth.

Cost is $50, which includes a camp T-shirt. Registration needs to be submitted by Friday in order to ensure a camp shirt. Kids can still be registered at the door, however. Camp coaches include Port Angeles High School head volleyball coach Christine Halberg, along with assistant and middle school coaches and returning Port Angeles players.
