Peninsula Daily News invites you to submit your news and photos to news@peninsuladailynews.com.

Submissions about upcoming events must be received at least two weeks in advance of the event.

Please make sure your e-mail to news@peninsuladailynews.com contains the following information (paste the information into a regular e-mail message, DO NOT send it as an attachment):

• Proper Name of Event
  Include the name of the organization hosting the event, and be specific.
  Examples:
  No: Chili Cook-Off
  Yes: North Olympic Peninsula 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off
  
• Date of Event (month and day(s) your event takes place).
• Time (during what hours does your event take place? If the event runs for more than one day, include the hours for each day.)
• Location of the event (include street address).
• Publishable contact name, phone number, e-mail address that readers may contact for more information. Include area code.
• Web URL (if applicable).
• * Cost of attending (if any).
• Your Name (for our contact purposes, not for publication).
• Your phone number (for our contact purposes, not for publication. Include area code).
• Your e-mail (for our contact purposes, not for publication).

PHOTOS (preferably in color) are always welcome.

Attach your photo to an e-mail message and send it to news@peninsuladailynews.com.

The photo must be a JPEG of high-resolution (at least 150 dots per inch). No cell phone photos.

And, please -- identify all those in the photo, left to right, by their full names and their hometowns, and describe the event captured in the photo.

We encourage letters to the editor of 250 words or fewer from readers on subjects of local interest and Point of View and Teen Point of View guest opinion columns of no more than 550 words that focus on local community lifestyle issues.

Please - send us only one letter or column per month.

Letters and guest columns published become the property of Peninsula Daily News, and it reserves the right to reject, condense or edit for clarity or when information stated as fact cannot be substantiated.

Letters sent to or published in other newspapers, anonymous letters, personal attacks, letters advocating boycotts, letters sent from Internet Web sites, letters to other people and mass mailings and commercial appeals are not published.
